Douglas Library Celebrates 100 Years

Douglas Library is one of the most recognizable and beautiful landmarks on the Queen’s University campus. Through the years, Douglas has been home to the Queen’s University administrative offices, a bindery-studio workshop, the Library System administrative offices, a periodicals room, the Social Sciences and Humanities Library, the Music Library, the Engineering and Science Library, W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections, and countless books, artifacts, and pieces of artwork. The building also features two reading rooms with elaborate stained-glass windows, rich in meaning and history.

2024 marks the 100-year anniversary of the opening of Douglas Library. Queen’s University Library invites you to share in this centennial celebration and to learn more about this beautiful landmark. We hope you will take the time to explore the links above and learn more about the Douglas Library.
